Installation Instructions Hid conversion kits
HID conversion kits may be illegal in some countries and sold for a walk or path exhibition. Check with your local BMV for further information.
Useful information and installation tips:
- Do not touch the HID bulb. If you do not touch the bulb during installation, clean with alcohol.
- Do not look directly at lighted bulb because it can cause permanent eye damage.
- The headlights must be properly adjusted after installation. HID lamps are much brighter than halogen lamps. Not for the lamps, can reduce the visibility of traffic approaching from the glare. If you do not know how to adjust the lights, please consult a professional.
- Do not drop or inadequate / unnecessary force HID components, it can cause damage. If damage is found, stop use and contact your dealer. Do not use the system until the problem has been resolved, in order to avoid possible electric shock or fire.
- 23000volts HID system generates when activated. Do not use wet or oily hands during installation or inspection of the system. Or it may be subject to serious burns or electric shock.
- Make all the connectors and cables are secure and away from any hot surface. The son loose or pressed against a hot surface can cause a shock supply.
- Make no lamp near flammable materials when it is outside the lamp housing.
- Turn on the lights on / quick stop. This can shorten the life of your bulbs.
- Do not install the HID system in a house with cracks. Wetlands can damage the lamp or electric shock.
- Before the final installation of pre-test all components. Ensure compatibility and connecting every child to turn the system.
Note: special adapters, connectors, modules or harnesses may be necessary to properly install the HID system in some vehicles. Make sure you have everything you need for your vehicle. BMW, Mercedes, Audi, Dodge / Chrysler and Volkswagen are just some that may require special equipment installation.
Installation Instructions Single beam:
- Make sure the conversion kit HID has received all the necessary components for installation (a list of components available below)
- Disconnect the battery from the vehicle.
- Remove bulbs from the factory. If your vehicle headlamps, hoods, Please remove too.
- If your vehicle is equipped with dust caps headlights, drill a 1 "(24mm) diameter to accommodate the wiring harness.
- HID Xenon bulbs Remove the protective cover. Do not touch the bulb. Drive through the plastic base. If grease or dirt on the bulb is cleaned with alcohol.
- Put beam wiring the bulb through the top (as shown).
- Insert the HID xenon lamp in the lighthouse and set.
- Connect the spade terminals (positive and negative) for the factory wiring harness for the headlights.
- Rubber Insert (in wiring) in the hole in the lid (you drilled earlier).
- Connect the ballast bulb. The rapid release of a "click" once fully guaranteed.
- Find a place to mount the ballast. Use the ballast support screws or tie wraps as necessary. Note: Do not drill holes ballast in the box at a distance of constituent assembly and to safety.
- Check the lights fuse in your vehicle. Make sure you are qualified at 20 amps or more. Replace the fuse with a fuse of 20 amp fuse if Faro is a lower rating.
- Reconnect the battery cables.
- on and let your new xenon light lasting 10 minutes.
Bi-Xenon Installation instructions:
Wiring diagram
- Make sure the HID conversion kit you have all the necessary components for install (A list of components available later)
- Clean all connectors and HID lamps and clean the connectors with alcohol
- Installing HID bulbs in the lamp case
- Plug the HID bulbs to the ballast (2 round quick disconnect)
- Link control beam lines (small rectangular connectors)
- Connect the ballasts to the Hi / Lo wiring harness (oval connectors, gaskets yellow gum)
- Linking 3pins harness one of the lights taken
- Login thick red wire from the battery positive
- Connect the black son of thickness to the negative battery or ground
- Mount ballast and clean the harness with ties zip
- Find a place to mount the ballast. Use the support of ballast, tie wraps or screws, as required. NOTE: Do not drill holes in the box ballast and remote mount components and assemble a safe place.
- Switch Tower lights and let your new xenon light to run for 10 minutes
Setting the beam:
- Park on a flat surface 20 feet behind another car and turn on the lights junction.
- Make sure the beam is cut just above the front bumper of the car. (See picture below)
- In order to ensure that both lights are still tight, please turn off the lights directly into a wall of 20 feet and adjust the lights on the thresholds of the line logo of two.
Troubleshooting:
Flash in the pre-test or the bulb of caution: Some vehicles measure the resistance of the bulb socket connection at the factory. Since xenon ballast resistance does not use during power lamps, the computer thinks there something wrong vehicle when it is not true. Starts flashing and HID kit can see warning lamp. To remedy this, an automotive HID bulb to the resistance must be used, or a lamp module warning.
